The Wisconsin Medical Journal (WMJ) is a peer-reviewed, indexed scientific journal published six times a year by the Wisconsin Medical Society (Society). WMJ provides the opportunity for health care professionals throughout the Midwest to publish original research, case reports, review articles and essays about current medical issues. Our new “Health Innovations” section features short reports showcasing the results of initiatives being tested in clinic and communities throughout the region to improve health care quality, patient safety and satisfaction, cost efficiency and more.

WMJ is available through subscription and electronically—free, full text online. It also can be accessed in PubMed through the National Library of Medicine. While WMJ has many readers throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest, Web tracking indicates that its articles are accessed from around the country and even the world.
